LOCAL SPATIAL DEVELOPMENT FRAME WORK FOR THE NORTH EASTERN REGION
The
ACDP welcomes the LSDF and is looking forward to its implementation, as
well as the speedy implementation of a proper land use management
system for this region. Any further delay could cause the development
of more informal settlements, which will have a negative influence on
town planning.
The continued need for service infrastructure,
investment in community facilities, increased access to public road and
rail transport and land availability agreements between Tribal
Authorities and all parties concerned, should drive this Metropolitan
Municipality to perform and show that we are indeed a Municipality that
lives up to our claims of being a leading capital city in Africa.
May we all reap the fruits of our labour and may this LSDF create better living spaces for the North Eastern Region!
