MEDIA RELEASE

CORNWALL HILL COUNTRY ESTATE VICTIM OF POWER ABUSE?

It is with great concern that the ACDP took note of the manner in which the Metro Officials handled a water cut off situation in Centurion today. This morning officials arrived accompanied by 3 Metro Police to cut off the water supply of the offices of Cornwall Hill Country Estate, while the account is in the process of being sorted out.

The management meeting was interrupted with the unannounced arrival of the official and his body guards.

The big question is, why bring armed Metro Police?

Why make a noise with sirens on police vehicles.

This type of behaviour is in terrorem and not acceptable.

Apparently the Estate was not aware of this account as it never received such an account for 4 or 5 years.

As this matter is still in the process of being sorted out, we find it irregular that such a display of power is being used to intimidate clients.

The ACDP will investigate this matter and take it to the Public Prosecutor for investigation.
