Criminals in control of Pretoria - rape in prison hospital
Two nurses, aged 35 and 52, are in a R4-million law suit against the
correctional services department,after they were raped in the
prison hospital in March 2005.
One of the young prisoners accused of almost stabbing two nurses to
death at Baviaanspoort prison, east of Pretoria, two years ago, claimed
on Tuesday he was not accountable for his actions.
The ACDP is asking how can one not be accountable for one's actions and
how is it possible that nurses are not protected while on duty?
What is the real State of the City and the Country? This is the question asked by the African Christian Democratic Party.
Is the criminal in control of our city and not the authorities?
Authorities can paint beautiful pictures with words but the harsh
reality is reflected in reports such as this.

How can any accused such as Thabo Amos Masinga (22) of Mamelodi
West, who denied guilt to eight charges, including attempted murder,
kidnapping, rape, indecent assault and robbery with aggravating
circumstances blame drugs and not himself. He is the one who decided to
take the drugs and is therefore accountable for ALL his actions, even
those actions after taking the drugs.
We need the law-abiding, honest, & the blameless, to be in control.

Is die misdadigers in beheer van Pretoria? - Verkragting in Hospitaal
Twee verpleegters is in 'n hofgeding waar hulle 'n R4 miljoen eis
ingestel het teen Korrektiewe Dienste nadat hulle in Maart 2005 verkrag
was tydens hulle diens gedoen het by die hospitaal.
Een van die jong mans, Thabo Amos Masinga (22) van Mamelodi Wes, wat
aangekla is vir die verkragting, beweer dat hy nie verantwoordelik
gehou kan word vir sy dade nie, omdat hy onder die invloed van dwelms
was.
Die ACPP is geskok om te verneem van die gebeure en bevraagteken die
beskuldige se onkenning van verantwoordelikheid vir sy dade, omdat
hy delms gebruik het. Hy het dan self gekies om die dwelms te gebruik.
Wie is in beheer van Pretoria vra AnneMarie Sparg van die ACDP?
Dit blyk duidelik uit hierdie tipe van gebeure dat die misdadigers
beheer het van ons mooi stad, as hulle dood eenvoudig voortgaan om
vrouens te verkrag waar en wanner hulle lus het, mense by hulle
werkplek aan te val en te steek met messe soos die geval by die
magistraats kantore, mense se motors kaap as hulle kinders by die skole
oplaai, mense in hulle eie huise aanval en nog vele meer voorbeelde kan
genoem word.
Die owerhede kan maar mooi broodtjies bak, soveel soos hulle wil, maar
hier is bewys dat sommige nie hulle verpligtinge teenoor hulle
werknemers na kom nie. Intussen het misdadigers orals vrylik
toegang en die onskuldige en weerlose moet net die heeltyd versigtig
wees, selfs al werk hulle in 'n hospitaal.
