ACDP calls
for Tshwane Metro to be placed under administration
Despite the potential far-reaching implications, we call on the Gauteng
Provincial Government to immediately place the Tshwane Metropolitan
Municipality under administration, and that the allegations revealed on
Carte Blanche be fully investigated - see below for transcript.
In fact, we regard it as embarrassing that the country's capital city
would receive eight successive qualified audits from the Auditor
General without the Premier placing the Municipality under
administration...

Manager gets unlimited powers
The ACDP would like to express their disappointment in the conduct of
the ANC during the Council meeting of 31May. Every amendment proposed
by opposition parties has been voted on and defeated by the ANC
majority.
This makes decisions in the interest of good governance impossible. It

wrote (Greek philosopher): Everything in the natural world is

flux. When we suppose we see static situations, we actually
see
processes of beginning and processes of ending occurring
simultaneously. Nothing is static. It is the same
with
cities.
The ACDP supports the strategy that people live closer to work.
What we cannot support is forced integration (the reverse of forced
separation) and disorder, which could result from incorrect application
of such a policy. Natural integration has already started to take
place...
